There’s A Finger In The Box
This was one of the many Sherlock Holmes films made in the 1940’s with Basil Rathbone as Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Watson. The mystery is rather gruesome. It’s about the mutilation and subsequent murders of women. However, the “killers” don’t remember doing anything. Moriarty ends up coming into the picture and Holmes goes about his usual dispassionate deduction till he solves the crime.
What makes this film worth watching is the visual style brought to us by director Roy William Neill who also directed several of the other Sherlock films.
Holmes Shown Level
Moriarty On A Tilt
The average, but macabre storyline is lifted up by the directing so I recommend it.
