|Jessie (Olga Schoberová)|
The film begins with husband and wife scientists. The husband needs to figure out how to install a particularly heavy piece of equipment. He stumbles across a comic strip entitled “Who Wants To Kill Jessie?” within which there are a pair of anti-gravitational gloves. The wife has invented a machine that allows one to peer into the dreams of another. However, she has also invented an injection that will remove whatever is disturbing somebodies sleep. She doesn’t realize until it’s too late that it doesn’t just make the disturbing element go away, but pulls it out of the mind and into reality. One night her husband is dreaming about the comic strip and after a look into his dreams and a quick injection, the three characters from the comic strip are now in reality. They cannot speak in anything but thought bubbles, which provides for some funny moments.
Once their out of his dreams the fun begins as the cowboy and the superman run amok chasing after Jessie. The husband tries to protect her and has some fun in the process, but the wife sides with the legal system that wants to exterminate the dreams. While the three comic book characters provide much of the physical comedy, the funniest material comes from the way the husband and wife are pitted against each other. A small example is how the wife has all male assistants while the husband has all female assistants.

The film can feel a little childish on occasion, but it kept me laughing so much up until the wonderful ending that I can’t do anything but highly recommend it.
